Dave Roberts in NLDS passes Tony La Russa for 2nd-most postseason manager wins

Dave Roberts reached a significant career milestone during the Dodgers' recent postseason victory over the Atlanta Braves. By securing his 72nd playoff win, Roberts moved past Tony La Russa to claim the second-highest total in major league history, trailing only Joe Torre.

Roberts has accumulated these victories over eleven seasons, while his team maintains a strong record of 19-9 in games where they have the opportunity to eliminate an opponent from the playoffs. While historical changes to the postseason format have provided modern managers with more opportunities to reach these totals, Roberts' achievement remains a notable statistical feat in the sport.
