Oregon head coach Dan Lanning shared that quarterback Dante Moore is recovering positively from a concussion sustained during the team's Week 4 victory over Southern California. Although there is currently no precise schedule for his return, Lanning expressed optimism while the player moves through the necessary evaluation process.
Moore was taken off the field in an ambulance following a helmet-to-helmet hit from Trojan linebacker Desman Stephens II during a scramble in Los Angeles. While the signal-caller has expressed personal optimism about getting back on the field soon, the program is proceeding cautiously.
With a bye week arriving in Week 5, the Ducks have additional time to monitor Moore ahead of their scheduled matchup against UCLA. If Moore remains unavailable, Dylan Raiola is expected to take the helm after stepping up admirably in relief by throwing for nearly 300 yards and a pair of touchdowns to secure the crucial win.
Lanning voiced confidence in Raiola's ability to direct the offense successfully while the coaching staff continues to monitor the health of their primary quarterback.
