Dan Quinn: Jayden Daniels OUT, Marcus Mariota to start vs Colts

Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn has confirmed that quarterback Jayden Daniels will miss an upcoming contest against the Colts. Marcus Mariota will step into the starting role abroad as the team plays in London.

Daniels continues to recover from a left elbow dislocation suffered earlier during a matchup against the Cowboys in Week 2.

Although the young quarterback made the trip overseas with the squad and participated in limited practice sessions while adjusting to a new protective brace, coaching staff decided to keep him sidelined for a second consecutive week. Quinn characterized his limited participation on the practice field as a significant milestone in his recovery.
