Dan Campbell says pass protection shows why Jahmyr Gibbs is different from other backs

Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs set a new league milestone by reaching the most touchdowns prior to age 25 during Sunday's matchup against the Cardinals. Despite his massive offensive production, which included 151 rushing yards, 56 receiving yards, and nine total touchdowns on the season, head coach Dan Campbell highlighted a different aspect of Gibbs's performance in review.

Campbell specifically praised Gibbs for a crucial blocking assignment on a fourth-and-1 play that allowed quarterback Jared Goff to deliver a touchdown pass to teammate Sam LaPorta. According to the coach, that unselfish display of toughness demonstrates why Gibbs stands apart from other running backs across the league.
