Cowboys expect Dee Winters to miss time with Achilles strain

The Dallas Cowboys will need to adjust their defensive plans after linebacker Dee Winters suffered an Achilles strain in Sunday night’s game against the Green Bay Packers. Winters, who had been a key contributor with 35 tackles and a fumble recovery over the first five weeks of the season, was sidelined by the injury and is expected to miss an undetermined amount of time.

His performance in the Packers game included an interception in the first quarter, though a replay review ultimately ruled him down for a potential touchdown return. With Winters out, the Cowboys may turn to DeMarvion Overshown, who has been dealing with his own hamstring injury but practiced last week and was listed as questionable before being ruled out of the latest matchup.
