The tenth-ranked BYU football squad faces a sudden roster challenge ahead of their upcoming Big 12 contest against TCU, following an unexpected injury to starting right tackle Andrew Gentry. Gentry managed to play through the first half of a recent victory over Colorado State before discovering he required surgery.
To fill the vacancy on the offensive line, coaches are turning to a pair of underclassmen in Bott Mulitalo and Siosiua Latu-Finau. Assistant coach TJ Woods indicated that both freshmen will share snaps at the position when the Cougars visit Fort Worth this weekend.
Additional shuffling on the line includes the expected return of Kyle Sfarcioc at right guard after he missed time due to minor physical issues.
