Cougars welcome Pac-12 play with whimper in pulseless loss to Fresno State

Washington State began its inaugural campaign in the revised Pac-12 with a disappointing 26-6 defeat against Fresno State at home on Saturday. The struggling home offense managed only three successful third-down conversions and committed multiple turnovers, dropping the Cougars to a 1-4 record for the first time in over a decade.

Fresno State utilized creative playcalling, including a flea flicker and an end-around touchdown by Josiah Freeman, to secure the victory.
