Commanders rule out Jayden Daniels, confirm Marcus Mariota will start vs. Colts in London Week 4

The Washington Commanders have officially ruled out quarterback Jayden Daniels for their upcoming international matchup against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4, with head coach Dan Quinn confirming that Marcus Mariota will step into the starting role. Daniels traveled overseas with the squad and engaged in limited practices after dealing with a non-throwing elbow dislocation sustained earlier in the month, though medical evaluations have ruled out surgical intervention and point toward a swift recovery.

Mariota prepares to direct the offense following a steady performance last weekend that featured three touchdown passes and no interceptions in a victory over Seattle. He now faces an Indianapolis defense that has yielded high passing statistics this season, while the coaching staff maintains a cautious approach regarding Daniels' eventual return to the field.
