Commanders linebacker Leo Chenal to have season-ending surgery after scary incident

Washington linebacker Leo Chenal will miss the remainder of the campaign following a neck fracture sustained during a weekend victory over Seattle. The defender required immediate medical attention on the turf during the opening half before being secured to a backboard and transported from the arena.

Medical evaluations later confirmed a fracture requiring surgical intervention, though he retains full sensation and movement in his limbs alongside positive expectations for a full recovery. Jordan Schultz initially broke the news, while head coach Quinn addressed the situation with reporters following the conclusion of the match.
