While household names capture the national spotlight, Oregon State freshman wide receiver Jesse Legree has emerged as the country's leading pass-catcher in total yards. An unheralded recruit coming out of Maryland who nearly missed out on a scholarship from the Beavers, Legree has racked up 38 receptions for 932 yards and 12 touchdowns across his first six games.
His remarkable debut campaign features surpassing 100 receiving yards in every single contest alongside an FBS-best average of 24.5 yards per catch. Having already delivered dominant performances against ranked opponents like Texas Tech and Houston, Legree currently leads all Football Bowl Subdivision players in explosive plays of 30, 40, and 50 or more yards.
