Cody Bellinger caught first pitch from his dad then sent Yankees to ALDS

Cody Bellinger smashed a decisive three-run home run in the sixth inning to propel the New York Yankees to a 9-2 victory over the Boston Red Sox at Yankee Stadium. The triumph secured a series sweep and advanced the Yankees to the American League Division Series to face the Tampa Bay Rays.

Before the opening pitch, Cody's father and former Yankees player Clay Bellinger delivered the ceremonial first pitch directly to his son. Additional run support came from Austin Wells and Ryan McMahon, while Chad Tracy managed the defeated Red Sox squad.
