Charles Leclerc led both Friday practice sessions at the United States Grand Prix, debuting a Ferrari SF-26 update featuring a revised floor, bodywork, and diffuser. Despite the early speed, the Monegasque driver cautioned that the lap time gains were not as massive as some might assume and warned that rivals could still find more performance.
Leclerc narrowly beat Andrea Kimi Antonelli by 0.042s in FP2 and outpaced Max Verstappen in FP1. He identified Verstappen and Antonelli as the primary threats, noting Verstappen's strong long-run pace. Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton finished fourth in FP2, trailing his teammate by more than half a second.
