CeeDee Lamb thinks he can't be guarded (and it helps to have George Pickens)

Dallas Cowboys pass-catcher CeeDee Lamb has opened the 2026 campaign with 20 receptions, 309 receiving yards, and three touchdowns through his first three contests. When asked recently if anyone can successfully cover him, the star wideout offered a blunt negative response.

Lamb benefits significantly from lining up alongside fellow receiver George Pickens, as opponents frequently allocate extra defensive resources to contain Pickens. During a Week 3 matchup in Brazil between the Baltimore Ravens and the Cowboys, analyst J.J.

Watt noted this defensive strategy, which subsequently opens up single coverage opportunities for Lamb. Looking ahead to Sunday's matchup against the Houston Texans, cornerback Derek Stingley Jr.

may match up against Lamb, while Kamari Lassiter receives safety help over the top to handle Pickens. Defenses face a difficult dilemma trying to neutralize both weapons simultaneously, leaving disruption of quarterback Dak Prescott as the primary countermeasure.
