The Arizona Cardinals recently evaluated a quartet of free agent linebackers, bringing them in for medical checks and physical assessments. General manager Monti Ossenfort appears focused on bolstering coverage units, as all four incoming candidates share the same defensive position.
The group consists of Jacob Roberts, Marte Mapu, Kobe King, and Chris Paul, Jr.
Each prospect brings prior professional experience from various organizations. King previously spent time with the Minnesota Vikings and New York Jets, while Roberts entered the professional ranks via the Canadian Football League before a stint with Minnesota.
Paul was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Rams and later joined the Seattle Seahawks practice squad. Mapu brings the most extensive NFL background of the group, having logged multiple seasons with the New England Patriots followed by an appearance with the Houston Texans.
