Can Liberty overcome history to advance in WNBA playoffs over Dream?

The New York Liberty find themselves in a precarious position after dropping a 101-98 overtime decision to the Atlanta Dream at State Farm Arena. Despite a dominant 35-point, 11-rebound display from Breanna Stewart and 21 points from Jonquel Jones, New York now trails 2-0 in the best-of-five series.

Atlanta secured the victory even without Allisha Gray, receiving key contributions from Angel Reese and Naz Hillmon. The Liberty must now win three consecutive games to avoid elimination, a feat never before accomplished in WNBA playoff history.
