The Chicago Bears' quarterback competition remains unsettled ahead of Week 6, but Caleb Williams’ return from a three-game absence due to a hamstring injury could soon be finalized. Williams, who has been practicing on a limited basis since last Friday, will be listed as a full participant in Wednesday’s walkthrough session, according to head coach Ben Johnson.
While Johnson has yet to name a starter for the Falcons game, Williams’ upgrade in practice status suggests he is progressing toward game-day readiness. In his absence, Tyson Bagent and Case Keenum have shared quarterbacking duties for the Bears.
Though Johnson emphasized that the starting decision remains fluid, Williams’ full participation in upcoming practices would appear to strengthen his chances of regaining the starting role. The Bears’ Week 6 matchup against Atlanta will serve as a critical test for whoever takes the field, with Williams’ availability adding another layer of uncertainty to an already evolving situation.
