Bullpen game struggles put Astros in must-win position for ALWC G2

Houston dropped the opening contest of the American League Wild Card Series 6-3 after deploying a relief-pitching strategy that backfired. AJ Blubaugh and Bryan King struggled early, allowing three quick runs before Chicago extended the advantage further.

Ace Hunter Brown is scheduled to take the mound for the second matchup on four days of rest, attempting to stave off elimination. Meanwhile, Chicago holds a historically strong advantage in the best-of-three round after capturing the initial victory.
