Buffalo struggles to cover Sam LaPorta on Thursday night

Sam LaPorta secured his initial touchdown catch of the season during the fourth quarter of Thursday night's Week 2 clash, narrowing Detroit's deficit against Buffalo to 34-24. Despite his scoring effort, the Bills emerged victorious as the Lions' defense struggled throughout the contest.

Prior to the matchup, Buffalo defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard remarked that studying Detroit's offensive game film was not an enjoyable assignment. The game also served as the debut showcase for the Bills at Highmark Stadium.
