Minnesota Wild blueliner Brock Faber faces an indefinite recovery period after undergoing a medical procedure to repair a fractured skull. The USA Olympic blueliner sustained the head trauma during an exhibition fixture on September 25 when a flying puck struck him directly.
Despite finishing out that period of play, he sat out the final frame and subsequently went under the knife on Sunday. Team executive Bill Guerin provided an update confirming the procedure was successful and noting that the skater is currently recuperating at his residence without any definitive timeline for a comeback.
