The Buffalo franchise promoted twenty-seven-year-old defensive back Te’Cory Couch from the practice squad prior to their matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. Couch originally signed with the organization following the 2024 NFL Draft as an undrafted free agent out of Miami, though he has yet to participate in a regular season contest.
Across seven preseason appearances with the club, he recorded nineteen tackles, four pass breakups, one sack, and a single interception. This roster adjustment follows a previous decision to place defensive back Jordan Hancock on injured reserve due to a hamstring problem.
Hancock contributes on special teams while also seeing action at safety and slot cornerback. Couch offers similar flexibility and could potentially step into that gameday role.
Additional depth on the active roster includes rookie safety Jalen Kilgore, who sat out the opening two contests of the campaign as a healthy scratch.
