Big East team trending for a big UNC basketball recruiting target

Head coach Michael Malone and the North Carolina Tar Heels are currently on the practice floor getting ready for the upcoming 2026-27 college basketball campaign. Attention has quickly turned toward the 2027 recruiting cycle as the program pursues elite prospects, but a major obstacle has emerged regarding priority target Jordan Page.

The standout forward from Florida, standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 210 pounds, is rated as the tenth overall prospect nationally, the third-best small forward, and the sixth-ranked player in his home state. Page took a trip to Chapel Hill on September 12th for the football program's home opener, followed by a visit to UConn on September 18th.

Following those stops, a crystal ball forecast on 247Sports from analyst Travis Branham has pointed the talented recruit toward the Big East powerhouse instead of the Tar Heels.
