Baylor football coach candidates: 8 names from Lincoln Riley to Dabo Swinney

Baylor has dismissed head coach Dave Aranda following a narrow twenty-five to twenty-four defeat against Kansas, bringing an end to his tenure seven games into his seventh year with the program. The decision comes after the team struggled to maintain the high performance of a twelve-win campaign in 2021 that included a conference title and a bowl victory, having suffered losing records in three of the subsequent four full seasons.

Following this leadership change, analysts have pointed to several potential replacements to take over the position, including USC leader Lincoln Riley, UTSA leader Jeff Traylor, and New Mexico leader Jason Eck.
