Bangladesh Cricket Board announces domestic-3 with six franchises ahead of 2026-27 season

The Bangladesh Cricket Board has launched a new multi-format domestic competition called Domestic-3, set to begin with its T20 leg in December. Six corporate franchises have secured three-year agreements to participate across T20, 50-over, and four-day cricket under a unified structure, with each franchise committing a set fee per season.

During the official launch event, franchises selected their icon players via a lottery system, though several prominent national team members were left unselected ahead of the upcoming squad building events.
