Asian Games 2026: India beat Japan, assured of medal in men's team event

India secured a spot in the semi-finals of the men's team badminton tournament at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games by defeating host nation Japan 3-0. In the opening match, Lakshya Sen rallied from a massive deficit in the deciding game to defeat Kodai Naraoka 11-21, 21-5, 21-19.

Following that, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty defeated Takuro Hoki and Yugo Kobayashi 21-18, 24-22 in straight games to guarantee India at least a bronze medal from the event.
