Dallas avoided elimination on Wednesday by defeating Golden State 108-100 in an overtime thriller during the opening round of the WNBA playoffs, forcing a decisive third game. Guard Arike Ogunbowale carried the visiting squad with a playoff-record 45 points, including a clutch triple late in regulation to deadlock the score.

Teammate Paige Bueckers contributed 10 points despite a difficult shooting performance, while Tiffany Hayes also featured in a tense overtime altercation that resulted in matching flagrant fouls.
