Aprilia boss questions Jorge Martin benefit of cancelled Australian GP

Massimo Rivola has expressed skepticism regarding claims that the cancellation of the Australian Grand Prix provides a clear advantage to Jorge Martin in the championship race. Because severe weather conditions forced the event at Phillip Island to be called off, the ten-point lead held by Marc Marquez remains unchanged following the previous day's sprint.

Martin, who sustained a wrist fracture during a crash, was already sidelined for the Sunday race. While the rider intends to attempt a return for the Malaysian Grand Prix, Rivola remains doubtful about his physical readiness to compete.

The Aprilia executive also noted that the remainder of the season schedule stays uncertain due to questions surrounding the status of the Qatar round.
