Kimi Antonelli cruised to a dominant victory at the United States Grand Prix, executing a one-stop strategy to secure his ninth triumph of the season and push himself to the threshold of the Formula 1 drivers championship. Charles Leclerc took second place for Ferrari after battling through the field, while Max Verstappen rounded out the podium in third following a race hampered by car handling issues.
Mercedes teammate George Russell finished eighth and Lewis Hamilton crossed the line in fourth.
Verstappen had briefly claimed the lead during the opening stint when early strategy calls triggered a flurry of pit stops and shuffling among the frontrunners. Despite a late virtual safety car deployed to clear Valtteri Bottas stranded Cadillac, Antonelli maintained an untroubled gap at the front to cross the finish line over thirteen seconds ahead of Leclerc.
Isack Hadjar and Lando Norris also featured further down the running order as teams grappled with tire strategies across the fifty-six lap encounter.
