Sam Antonacci has brought a unique brand of energy to the Chicago White Sox during their postseason run, deliberately taking a spill during pregame introductions to ease his teammates' nerves ahead of the opening game against Houston. The rookie infielder, selected in the fifth round of the 2024 draft out of Coastal Carolina University, has quickly established himself as a central figure following his April debut, appearing in 140 regular-season games and playing a key role in the club's resurgence.
Manager Will Venable praised the twenty-three-year-old for embodying the competitive identity and toughness of the roster. Antonacci and the White Sox are now preparing to face the division-rival Cleveland Guardians at Progressive Field as their postseason journey continues.
