The post, which highlighted their happiness together, drew a supportive comment from Atlanta Dream forward Angel Reese, who wrote, *“love this for youuuu.”* Despite the comment, some fans quickly assumed Reese was subtly recruiting Mitchell to join the Dream, with others suggesting Atlanta was actively pursuing her.
However, Reese’s comment was simply a gesture of goodwill, as she is currently in a relationship with Orlando Magic player Wendell Carter Jr. and has no involvement in free-agent negotiations.
The speculation is further undermined by Atlanta’s financial constraints: the Dream have already committed over $6.18 million to nine players, leaving little room to sign Mitchell, who would likely demand nearly the entire remaining cap space. Even if Atlanta were to pursue her, they would need to trade roster pieces to accommodate her salary, making the scenario highly unlikely.
