Andy Reid can join George Halas and Paul Brown as the only coaches with six 5-0 starts

Andy Reid is on the verge of joining an exclusive NFL coaching fraternity. The Kansas City Chiefs, currently riding a 4-0 record, stand one win away from achieving their fifth 5-0 start under Reid since he took over in 2013.

If they defeat the Chargers this Sunday, Reid will match the historic milestone of six perfect starts, a feat accomplished only by George Halas and Paul Brown in league history. Halas achieved this 10 times during his legendary 40-year tenure with the Bears, while Brown did so six times across his 25-year career, leading both the Browns and Bengals.

Reid previously recorded a 5-0 start in 2004 with the Philadelphia Eagles, adding to his credentials. With the Chiefs favored by 8.5 points against a winless Chargers squad, Reid’s opportunity to secure his sixth flawless start is well within reach.
