Former utility player Tyler Wade has decided to conclude his professional baseball career after nine seasons in the major leagues. The thirty-one-year-old athlete shared a statement on social media expressing gratitude for his time in the sport, thanking every organization he represented as well as the personnel and supporters who supported him along the way.
Drafted by the New York Yankees in the fourth round back in 2013, Wade made his big league debut four years later. Throughout his career, he spent time with the Yankees, Los Angeles Angels, Oakland Athletics, and San Diego Padres before attempting to secure a spot with the Texas Rangers this season.
Outside of his athletic career, he gained additional public attention during a brief relationship with social media personality Alix Earle in 2022.
