His dazzling display eclipsed the previous national benchmark of 35 deliveries set by Rohit Sharma, while also besting the 33-ball mark shared by Sikandar Raza and Finn Allen for the fastest T20I hundred among full Test-status countries.

The left-handed batsman initiated his charge immediately, crossing fifty runs in merely 16 deliveries and contributing 76 runs toward India's powerplay total of 100, which established a new national best for the first six overs. Requiring only 14 additional deliveries to complete the triple-digit milestone, his effort stands as the third-fastest hundred in global T20I history behind Sahil Chauhan's 27 balls and Muhammad Fahad's 29 balls.
