Kagiso Rabada claimed his 601st international wicket in the third Test against Australia, becoming the fifth South African bowler to pass the 600‑wicket mark and doing so in his 260th match. The achievement places him alongside Shaun Pollock, Dale Steyn, Makhaya Ntini and Allan Donald in the Proteas’ elite wicket‑takers.
In the same match Rabada also recorded his 350th Test dismissal, reaching the milestone in just 75 Tests – a tally that ties him with Malcolm Marshall for the third‑fastest fast bowler in terms of matches, behind Richard Hadlee and Steyn. He set a new record for speed to 350 Test wickets by needing only 13,808 deliveries, comfortably ahead of Steyn’s 14,719 and trailing only the likes of Waqar Younis, Marshall and Mitchell Starc.
