5 key plays that spelled disaster for the Cowboys vs. Giants
The New York Giants kicked off their 2026 campaign with an impressive 28-20 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night at MetLife Stadium. Quarterback Jaxson Dart picked apart the revamped Dallas defensive unit coordinated by Christian Parker, securing his first career win against the divisional foe.
The primetime triumph also delivered a successful franchise debut for new Giants head coach John Harbaugh.
Dallas spent most of the opener trailing, undone by blown assignments, frequent drops, and self-inflicted mistakes. A damaging taunting infraction on running back Javonte Williams derailed a second-half rally attempt, while quarterback Dak Prescott and the rest of the Cowboys offense struggled to find consistency against New York's disruptive schemes.
