49ers’ perfect hook-and-ladder TD bamboozles Cardinals for 80-yard Deebo Samuel score

During an early possession against Arizona, San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan called a trick play on a third-and-twelve situation from deep inside his team's half. Quarterback Brock Purdy connected with receiver Mike Evans on a hitch pattern, and Evans immediately pitched the ball backward to teammate Deebo Samuel.

Samuel raced downfield to complete an eighty-yard scoring play, aided by downfield blocking from tight end Luke Farrell.
