“You’re a Winner”: Angel Reese Earns Big Praise From 3x NBA Sixth Man of the Year as She Nears Historic Dream With Atlanta

Angel Reese powered the Atlanta Dream into the WNBA Finals by sweeping the New York Liberty 85-83 on June 20, 2026, at State Farm Arena. Reese contributed a team-high 22 points along with nine rebounds, three assists, and two blocks to hold off a late rally from the former champions.

Rhyne Howard added 21 points and Jordin Canada posted 19 points with 11 assists in the decisive victory.

After previously missing the postseason and dealing with public friction in Chicago, Reese reached the championship round in her first year with Atlanta, fulfilling a goal she famously posted about a year prior. Her standout playoff run drew high praise from former NBA player Lou Williams, who commended her achievement on social media following the series sweep.
