‘Vaibhav heads out’: Ashwin’s blunt call on Sooryavanshi if Ishan Kishan returns

Ravichandran Ashwin has advised caution regarding teenager Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, suggesting the young batter needs time to develop away from intense public scrutiny. This follows Sooryavanshi's impressive 45-run contribution off 19 balls during a successful chase of 199, where he and Abhishek Sharma built a 133-run opening partnership.

Ashwin further proposed a tactical shift for the upcoming T20I against New Zealand, stating that Sanju Samson should return to his preferred opening role if Ishan Kishan is cleared to play. In this scenario, Ashwin believes Sooryavanshi should be rotated out of the starting lineup to allow the more experienced Samson to reclaim his spot.
