'This is greatness' - Kamran Akmal lauds Virat Kohli after Thiruvananthapuram heroics vs West Indies

Former Pakistan wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal recently heaped praise on Virat Kohli following the Indian star's stellar knock against the West Indies. During the recent encounter at Greenfield International Stadium, Kohli hammered an unbeaten 139 from 88 deliveries, propelling his side past a 295-run target with more than eight overs to spare.

Akmal highlighted the veteran batsman's relentless drive, stellar fitness, and ability to constantly evolve his style rather than remaining static. This masterclass yielded Kohli's 55th ODI hundred and pushed him past the 15,000 run mark in the fifty-over format faster than Sachin Tendulkar.

His century also featured a crucial 151-run partnership alongside captain Shubman Gill, who contributed 110 runs to the successful pursuit. Akmal noted that Kohli stands shoulder-to-head above modern peers in match awareness, professionalism, and decisive finishing capability.
