‘They Don’t Watch,’ ‘Bunch of Hot Air’ — Dave Portnoy Gets Brutally Honest on Donald Trump and Co. Boycotting WNBA Finals Over Anthem Controversy

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy recently criticized both WNBA players for their pre-game anthem habits and the public figures calling for boycotts. While Portnoy expressed personal disapproval of teams leaving the court during the anthem, he dismissed the outrage from critics as performative, arguing that most of those complaining do not actually watch the games.

This discourse follows comments from Donald Trump, who suggested fans stop viewing the league, mirroring his past rhetoric regarding the NFL. The Golden State Valkyries and Atlanta Dream are currently tied 2-2 in their series after the Valkyries secured a 67-62 victory in the previous matchup.

The deciding game is scheduled to take place at the Chase Center.
