Pakistan head coach Mike Hesson remains optimistic that his squad will deliver their peak performance during the upcoming tri-series final against Sri Lanka on October 31. Despite securing a spot in the championship match at Gaddafi Stadium with three wins in four league outings, Hesson believes the team has yet to reach its full potential.
The side previously defeated Sri Lanka and England in Rawalpindi, followed by a narrow one-wicket win over England in Lahore where Shadab Khan secured his first ODI century. Although the team dropped their most recent match to Sri Lanka, Hesson praised the bowling efforts of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, and Arafat Minhas, while highlighting the growth of middle-order batter Hasan Nawaz.
Having led the team for a year with 12 wins in 19 ODIs, the coach is now focused on refining their execution for the final showdown.
