‘No point in going back’: Ex-India batter doesn't want Mohammed Shami to be looked at for 2027 ODI World Cup

Following a two to one series victory against the West Indies that highlighted weaknesses in the bowling department, discussions have arisen regarding the composition of the team for the upcoming World Cup in South Africa, Namibia, and Zimbabwe. During the recent matches, a depleted attack struggled significantly, culminating in a successful chase of a three hundred fifty two run target by the opposition in the final game.

Amid public debates surrounding squad selections and fitness controversies from previous domestic seasons, former wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik argued that management should look past veteran fast bowler Mohammed Shami rather than recalling him for the global tournament.
