Former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan has publicly addressed and dismissed fabricated social media claims circulating under his name that alleged he made disparaging remarks about religious faiths. The forty-one-year-old athlete warned supporters not to trust or circulate unverified statements that fail to originate directly from his own channels, noting that these false reports were manufactured solely to generate online traffic.
Pathan emphasized that he has never uttered anything derogatory regarding any religion throughout his life.
At present, the former cricketer is residing in the United Arab Emirates to participate as a member of the India Champions squad during the World Championship of Legends tournament. This competition experienced significant disruption following discussions involving the Pakistan Cricket Board regarding participation clearances and prior boycotts by Indian players who refused to face Pakistan's squad during an earlier season.
