‘Liberty the Fakest 8 Seed or Lynx the Fakest 1 Seed?’ — WNBA World Left Scrambling for Answers After Minnesota’s ‘Stunning Collapse’ in Round 1

The WNBA postseason has witnessed a historic first-round upset as the eighth-seeded New York Liberty swept the top-seeded Minnesota Lynx in a two-game series. Minnesota bowed out following consecutive 16-point defeats, losing the opener 91-75 and the finale 87-71.

Minnesota star Olivia Miles experienced a difficult playoff debut after a stellar regular season where she averaged 19.8 points, shot 49.2 percent from the floor, and broke the rookie scoring record with 790 total points. However, the unanimous rookie of the year faltered significantly in the second game, managing only five points on one-for-eight shooting.
