Juan Carlos Ferrero, former coach of Carlos Alcaraz, has addressed speculation about potentially coaching Jannik Sinner in the future, dismissing any notion that the move would be driven by personal rivalry. Ferrero, who parted ways with Alcaraz in December 2023 after a seven-year partnership, emphasized that his decision would be purely professional and focused on his own growth as a coach.
He acknowledged that Alcaraz’s supporters might react negatively, but stressed that any future collaboration with Sinner would not be intended to provoke or take revenge. Meanwhile, Ferrero is preparing to return to professional tennis coaching after a break spent with family, managing his academy, and working as a mental performance coach for golfer Ángel Ayora.
He is also set to publish his first book, *Winning Mentality*, later this year.
Alcaraz, now coaching independently, has already made a strong return to the tour, winning his first title since his comeback at the Japan Open. The Spaniard defeated Jiří Lehečka in straight sets (7–6(4), 6–4) to reclaim the trophy, marking his first victory in a tournament since his injury forced him to miss the French Open, Wimbledon, and the Cincinnati Open.
Despite not playing at his peak, Alcaraz credited his ability to find solutions in key moments, calling the win a significant milestone in his recovery. His victory speech reflected the emotional weight of the achievement, highlighting his determination to bounce back after a challenging period.
