‘Is this a fake account?’ – Fans go off on NBC News’ WNBA mistake during effort to call out Caitlin Clark’s failure

Following the Indiana Fever playoff elimination against the Las Vegas Aces, Caitlin Clark faced intense scrutiny for her postseason performance. Despite averaging 20 points and 9.6 assists across three games, including a stellar 27-point, 15-assist outing in a 99-89 victory, her struggles in the final contest drew a critical article from NBC News.

However, social media users quickly seized on a glaring typo in the network's post on X, which misspelled the league as WBNA, sparking heavy backlash from supporters defending her legacy.
