Cowboys' botched crucial kickoff decision opens door for Ravens' last-second win

Following a grueling ten-hour journey from Rio De Janeiro to Dallas, the Cowboys faced a tough 34-31 defeat against the Ravens on September 27, 2026. Brandon Aubrey provided temporary relief for the trailing squad by converting a 23-yard field goal with only seven seconds remaining in regulation to level the score.

With the clock winding down, the coaching staff opted to boot a touchback rather than aiming for the landing zone, which unfortunately gave their opponents enough field position and precious seconds to orchestrate a last-second victory.
