'A clear red card' - Emery berates VAR as Villa lose late to Forest

Unai Emery expressed deep dissatisfaction with officiating decisions during Aston Villa's recent clash with Nottingham Forest. The dispute centered on a tackle by James McAtee that hurt Villa defender Ian Maatsen, which refereeing authorities deemed unworthy of an ejection.

The resulting physical toll forced the hosts to complete the contest a man down. Capitalizing on their numerical superiority, Forest struck in the dying moments to secure a 2-1 victory at Villa Park.
