Zay Flowers ruled out in Week 1 with hamstring injury after dominant first half

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers endured a bittersweet season opener against the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium. Flowers dominated the first half, racking up 150 yards on five receptions, highlighted by a second-quarter 54-yard scoring strike from Lamar Jackson against Charvarius Ward that pushed Baltimore ahead 21-6.

The remarkable showing marked his tenth career game reaching at least 100 yards, tying Mark Andrews for the franchise record.

However, the standout wideout saw his career day cut short after suffering a hamstring issue that left him questionable before he was eventually ruled out for the remainder of the contest. Flowers had previously practiced in full on Friday following hamstring concerns leading up to Week 1, but the recurring problem forced Baltimore to navigate the second half without their explosive playmaker.
