Yankees Rivalry Roundup: Guardians clinch AL Central, AL West still in play

While the Yankees rested during an inclement weather delay across the East Coast, their American League rivals battled down the stretch. The Texas Rangers secured a six-run victory over the Minnesota Twins following a lengthy rain delay at Target Field, keeping their postseason aspirations alive in the AL West.

Nathan Eovaldi returned from the injured list to pitch into the fifth inning, backed by offensive contributions including home runs from Danny Jansen and Jake Burger. Meanwhile, the Cleveland Guardians clinched the AL Central by defeating the Kansas City Royals eleven to five, overcoming an early deficit sparked by a trio of first-inning runs from Kansas City.

Patrick Bailey contributed a crucial two-run blast alongside contributions from Steven Kwan, Chase DeLauter, and Travis Bazzana, spoiling Michael Wacha's final outing of the season despite the opposing pitcher crossing the two-hundred-inning threshold.
