Yankees hit the roof at Tropicana Field - and it's just another out

During the second game of the American League Division Series on Monday, New York Yankees player Spencer Jones sent a fly ball into the upper catwalks at Tropicana Field. Because the ball struck the B-ring structure, it remained in play, allowing Victor Mesa Jr.

to secure the catch for an out. This incident contrasts with a recent National League Division Series matchup in Milwaukee, where a similar roof-strike involving Ty France and Jackson Chourio sparked minor debate regarding ground rules.
